Fuel
There are 2 major type of fuel, namely Gasoline and Diesel. Most of the additives in fuel have the following properties:
- Decrease hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide emissions in the exhaust
- Reduce engine knocking
- Improve fuel stability when the vehicle sits for extended periods of time
- Increase fuel mileage 8-12%
- Reduce hydrocarbon emissions
Gasoline
The most important factors determining the performance of a gasoline are volatility, antiknock quality, storage stability, sulfur content and deposit control. One of the additives in the range of BRB International is ECOSAFE (valve seat protection and engine cleanliness).
Diesel
Compression/ignition engines run on middle distillate fuels. The most important properties are volatility, heating value, cetane number, viscosity, low temperature flow and storage stability. Additives in the BRB portfolio are Petrolad 4/series to produce flow improvers, but also cetane improvers and multifunctional packages are available.
